Types of Ration Card in Uttarakhand
APL Card : APL card is issued to those people who are above poverty line and whose annual income is above Rs.10,000.
BPL Card : BPL card is issued to those people who are below poverty line and whose annual income is less than Rs. 10,000.
Anthodaya, Anna Yojana (AAY) : This card is issued to the poorest of the poor. These families are entitled with pink colour ration Card.
Annapoorna Card : This type of card is issued to the people who are not living with their children, are not working or not receiving pension i.e the people above 65 yearss age comes under this scheme.
Issuance of Ration Card in Uttarakhand
The ration card is issued by the Block Development officer (BDO) in rural areas and in case of urban areas the ration card is issued by the Inspector of Food and Civil Supply Department. The applicant can apply for the ration card.

Eligibility to Apply for a New Ration Card
- Person has to be the citizen of India and a resident of Uttarakhand.
- Person has to be of 18 years and above.
- Person should not ration card in any other state.
- Person has to be the head of the family.
Documents Required for Ration Card
- Applicant is required to fill in all the information about the family members
- Information of educational qualification of head of the family.
- Applicant is required to attach the proof of address
- Complete details of income of the family members.
Ration Card Renewal / Duplicate Ration Card
The citizens have to renewal their Ration Card after every five years. The application fees for renewal of ration Card is Rs. 5/-. the consumer have to visit the nearby office of Food and Civil Supply (FCS) Department. Submit Application form for Renewal of Ration Card ans pay requisite fees.
