The Govt. of Meghalaya has provided various online facilities to the Ration card holders such that now they can apply for new ration card online, they can change address of Ration Card if they transferred from one place to another, can make correction in Ration card like addition/deletion of member etc. You can download duplicate copy of your ration card if you have applied for New ration card. Through this article we are providing information regarding ration card services in Meghalaya.

Documents Required for Ration Card

  • Application form
  • Address proof (voter card, passport, electricity bill, water bill, telephone bill)
  • Income certificate
  • Reduction/ surrender certificate/ non renewal certificate
  • Declaration

How to Apply for Ration Card

  • If the citizen wants to apply for a new ration card, applicants need to submit an affidavit about having no ration card along with application form and residential proof.
  • The applicant can download Ration card application form from official portal. You can also get application form from nearby ration card Office.
  • After that fill up all correct details in ration card application form. Attach necessary document and photograph i.e documents regarding address proof.
  • Submit this application form to nearby ration card office and pay requisite fees.

In this way you can apply for new ration card. Once you have successfully submitted your ration card Application Form, Ration Card will be issued to you within 15 days by issuing authority.

Issue of Duplicate Ration Card in Meghalaya

If the consumer have lost or misplaced your ration card, he can get new one by a simple process. He have to submit application form with a affidavit of lost ration card and submit it in Ration card office with requisite fees. After the inquiry, a duplicate card will be provided.

Renewal of Ration Card

The following documents are required for renewal of ration card in Meghalaya

  • Application form
  • Residence certificate (voter card, passport, electricity bill, water bill, telephone bill)
  • Income certificate

Once you have successfully submitted your application form, New temporary ration card is provided to consumer in within 7 days.

Correction In Ration Card

The following correction can be made by the citizens which are given below:

  • Correction in the Name
  • Change the Address in Ration Card.
  • Addition or Deletion of members in Ration Card
  • Modification in the details of Household head.
